    I know this is a late post.. butJMR061, you are correct. The height and tilt motors are not serviceable. The whole base must be replace... at a cost of about $300-$400 for the part not including labor.

    So I pulled the seat out to get the part number of the motor. I pulled one end of the unit off and twisted it as it would if the motor was turning. It was very tight until I spun it a couple of times. I reassembled it and wrote the part number down. The part number appears to be 8U5A-617C11-AA...

    HiPeter, There are actually 3 motors. One for each adjustment. - horizontal - tilt - vertical I believe the motors shown are for horizontal (front to back) adjustment. My fear is that the height adjustment motor is actually part of the seat base and cannot be changed by itself.
