    Solved Still NO brakes!

The ABS light actually came on for a bit for the first time, during this entire process, the day after I switched the calipers and got a firm pedal. It stayed on, I drove it maybe 100 ft, shut it off then turned it back on and the light went out. Like you guys say, probably air just working its...

    Solved Still NO brakes!

Problem solved :) Thank you boominx! I can't believe the amount of time I wasted messing with other crap. Thanks to everyone else too, for helping with everything..you guys are great. I switched the calipers, and also installed speed bleeders on them. So once they were switched, all I did was...

    Solved Still NO brakes!

Haven't switched the calipers yet, but yes haha I have jackstands... Was just taking tire off to take the picture. I use jackstands and I chock the other tires. And just for the record... I did 1 caliper at a time, and made sure to do the one that was a $40 core charge...which they said was the...

    Solved Still NO brakes!

Welp... From what you're saying and by looking at the drivers side caliper..... They're on backwards..? I'll check the passenger side too but I'm pretty sure it's the same. This would cause pedal to go to floor with little resistance?

    Solved Still NO brakes!

I'll do this right after work tomorrow. Not feeling well today. I'm actually hoping I put them on wrong... Would be easy fix :) If they are on backwards, then the parts store I got them from had them in the wrong boxes, or their computer description is wrong. It said drivers side caliper on my...

    Solved Still NO brakes!

Lol well isn't that good for you. I'm sure what he's saying is "I hate when there's a problem with the abs because they're such a pain in the ass to work on"

    Solved Still NO brakes!

The one where I get codes from? I use a small wire to jump from pin to pin, then from another pin to battery, turn key to on and CEL flashes according to tripped codes. Anyway, here's a recap of everything so far : (Rusted) brake line developed hole 6 inches from the brake hose near right rear...

    Solved Still NO brakes!

No worries at all.... I'll do it if I can find the right pins, if it works awesome if not no worries back to the drawing board. Pics of the wiring harness(s) going to the hcu: You can see the one with 3 wires... And then there's one with I think 4 all blue wires.. Which is weird.

    Solved Still NO brakes!

THANK YOU! Guess who's gonna be trying this tomorrow!?!? I just need it dumbed down a bit.... Where exactly do I find those wires...going in the HCU? Where are the pins...? And I basically just ground them to the negative terminal as described?

    Solved Still NO brakes!

Believe it or not my EX has the plug for Obd2, but it doesn't connect to anything. I guess they were getting ready for the next year 96, when Obd2 started.

    Solved Still NO brakes!

I also took apart the old m/c, and cleaned everything up. Looked at the seals, but didn't notice any wear and tear or cracking, splitting, fraying, or anything. I know probably doesn't mean **** if I can't see it doesn't mean it's not fugged up. Some pics of the old m/c apart. Inside also looks...

    Solved Still NO brakes!

Well... Idk if it's the m/c. . I took both lines off the m/c and plugged the 2 m/c holes where the lines go in, and then when I push the brake pedal.. It's rock hard, doesn't move more than an inch. Still could it be a bad m/c?

    Solved Still NO brakes!

Thank you for your help, and patience, I'm extremely grateful... I'll replace the m/c, bench bleed and do as you describe in your post, and report back.

    Solved Still NO brakes!

Been working a ton haven't had much time, but a couple weeks ago I had a helper to bleed the brakes. Not much has changed, except that now, I can pump the brakes and get pressure, but it won't stay. As soon as I release brake pedal, after a few seconds push back down, it goes to the floor again...

I did. And bench bled it first. Maybe it's bad?

    Solved Still NO brakes!

Well I tried to 2 man bleed all 4 new calipers...no positive results. Went RR, LR, RF, LF. My helper said at first it took 6 pumps to get pressure, then I'd loosen bleeder valve: some fluid, and some air would come out, I'd tighten valve, then he'd release pedal. Then it would take 3 pumps to...

    Hi from Jersey

What an incredible story...thank you for sharing it :) Sorry for the tl;dr...ill try to keep short. I had a spinal fusion at 29 yrs old. I had a herniated disc, not from any accident but just arthritis and degenerative disc disease. I'd heard about bad experiences with fusions, but at the time I...

    Troubleshooting 0171 & 0174 Code Help

I got the same 2 codes a couple days after installing a new fuel pump in my 95 EB last year. Ended up being a faulty pump.

Ahh gotcha. I might give that a shot if I still can't get the system bled tomorrow using 2 person method.

What do you mean "only use the unit to push air"? I'm not exactly sure where or how much air there even is in the brake lines.
