5th gear is 1:1. Turning off Traction Control and using Sand mode helps with launching, but I don’t think it will be making a difference on the dyno. It won’t hurt, but don’t think it will help either.

I got the front tinted to the legal limit for my state (27%). I’m guessing the rear factory tint for MY 18 is 20%. It’s not a perfect match, but it doesn’t look bad. I could have gone darker, but want to keep this thing legal.

You may want to double check your Waze settings. It almost sounds as if they might have been turned off.

YES!!! It's now working!!! My phone and my wife's phone was already disabled for carplay. I'm not sure why it's working now and it wasn't yesterday. I tried to take a picture of it, but you can't because while waze is running, you can't do anything else on your phone or else the waze display...

Hmm interesting. Maybe the second phone is my issue. Will try again tonight - thanks for the tip!

I saw there was an update to Waze in the app store yesterday, but it was bug related. They didn't say anything about compatibility with Ford or anything like that.

Well, I'm getting mine tinted as we speak. Going for 27%. We'll see how it works out. I'm not sure if I'll post pics today. It snowed last night and the Explorer is filthy dirty right now lol

This is from my owner's manual: "Rear fan speed control lock: When illuminated, you can only operate the rear passenger settings through the front controls." This specific control is in the rear climate control center.

Every time I see app updates for my iPhone, I'm anxiously checking to see if Waze has been updated for this....not yet, but Waze says it's coming this month.

Heh, our 2018 Explorer Sport had the same issue with only 850 miles. My wife told me today that the passenger side IA hasn't worked for the past two days. I tried it and low and behold it worked fine for me. I then had her try it and it worked. Go figure.

That happened to me when I moved to California back in 1998. They made me remove it on the spot or get a ticket. Thank God I no longer live in California

I think the heated/cooled seats are fine. I’m just surprised how quickly and how warm the heated steering wheel gets. It’s far better than my heated steering wheel was in my Audi S6.

Good point. With that said, it would be helpful if people can include their model and year when posting the tint %.

So I've read through this entire thread and I've seen a few people quite certain of the % tint for the rears. The problem is, there are differing answers. I've seen 15%, 17%, 20%, 25%. Does anyone have the absolutely definitive answer in term of % tint comes from the factory for the rear windows?

For those of you who've tinted the front side windows, what percentage did you go with?

Just bought an Explorer Sport this week. This post solidified it for me. Definitely will be getting a Livernois tune. I assume you can take it off and on whenever you want like going in for warranty work?
