With both my ford keys it has normal function the light blinks slow when I try to start it lights up for 3 sec then goes out I hear the fuel pump try to go but it will not start. So upsetting.

That’s how mine is. But I think some are In The dash dead center near the windshield. If that’s the case there’s usually a reset button near the em brake. I wish I had this button. But I don’t and I’m still carless.

Yeah I got p1000 and p1260 my theft light is in my instrument panel. Than you for helping me this is awful for me.

Can I ask you about your theft light please? Did it do any rapid flashing with the not working key? Or did it appear normal?

Yes have 2 ford original keys. The other one did make a difference either. I’m getting normal activity from the theft light.
