    6 inch lift

Sorry! By replacing the springs, I meant putting them back. I should've phrased that better. Ive heard of people welding, I assume the shock mounts, back on top. Is that necessary? Or is any welding necessary?

    6 inch lift

So it's literally just flipping the axle and replacing the springs? You don't have to move the shocks?

Do you have any pictures of everything under there?

How hard is the SOA conversion?

Where is the shift motor located? Not sure if my 4x4 works. The light doesn't come on but I haven't tested it yet

I have an electronic switch for 4wheel drive. I've heard there is some kind of conversion to manual hubs. Is it worth it?

i like that look, its simple but still works. what lift kit would y'all recommend?

    6 inch lift

i just saw this, sorry about that. I also just looked at my gear ratio, its 3.73. Would it just be worth it to do like a 2-3 inch lift and put 31/32s?

    6 inch lift

I've changed my mind about the 6inch and 35s. I may just stick with a 4inch and 33s for now. I'm probably not going to do anything until after the summer so maybe I can save a little on gas by driving the stock V6 instead of customized v8

    6 inch lift

Thanks for all the advice everyone, when I get home I'll check what the gear ratio is. And I'll also do more research on regearing so I can learn a little something.

    6 inch lift

Honestly, the reason I want a 6inch lift, is not just for larger tires. It's mainly because I like high lifted vehicles. I think it's fun driving a vehicle super high off the ground. Also, i have no idea what my gear ratio is and I have no idea how to regear, or what it means. I didn't realize...

    6 inch lift

I'm not planning too lol. My 06 is running like 32s and my rzr 800 is running 30s, stock everything except lifted 5inches. I think I'll be alright for now

    6 inch lift

I actually have, but all of it is so expensive. And yes, I know, offroading is an expensive sport, but I don't want to spend that much for mild offroading. Maybe I will later down the road, just not yet. I appreciate it though!

    6 inch lift

https://www.roughcountry.com/ford-suspension-lift-kit-440-20.html Yes that is a 4inch kit, like I said up there I've debated on just doing 4inch if it's easier lol https://bds-suspension.com/product?ma=3&mo=25&ty=1&yr=1983-1997 Those are just a couple I've found, that seem interesting
  16. P

    6 inch lift

Exactly, I just want to lift it for looks and more clearance, I'll add all the extra stuff later down the road.

Kind of both? I go to turkey bay. My friend went on the trails with a stock f150 2wd
  18. P

    6 inch lift

I just wanted something that gives me more clearance, and then upgrade down the road. I don't do anything extreme, I just go to turkey bay most of the time, and it's like once a month. It's mainly for looks, and every once and while offroading. The trails I do, my friend went on in his stock...

    6 inch lift

At this point, I just don't want to spend a lot of money, and I just want to hit the trails lol. So, let me make sure I know what I'm doing, 6inch ranger lIft, soa in the rear (perches, shocks and shock mounts? Can I just look for those somewhere and buy them?) And then something like add a leaf...

    6 inch lift

So you're saying don't just get a 4in lift? There are tons of 4 in kits that are just bolt on that I've found.
  21. P

    6 inch lift

I'm not necessarily including wheels or tires. I'm gonna take the wheels off my 06 and then I'll get new tires, but that's not counted in the budget. I'm thinking about just sticking with a 4inch. It's simple and easy lol
  22. P

    6 inch lift

Also, let me just say, I'm somewhat on a budget lol. I was thinking around 2k. I don't need anything extreme, just want it lifted and be able to do a little offroading about once a month, sometimes a little more. I'm thinking about just sticking with a 4inch lift because it's easier, unless the...

    6 inch lift

If I did the soa, would I have to weld anything? Or is it just bolt on?
  24. P

    6 inch lift

Is there anyway you could give me links for any of the 6inch lifts? I feel like I've looked everywhere and can't find anything. Also, those are full 6inch lifts, right? No customization necessary? (Other than lifting it ofc lol)
  25. P

    6 inch lift

So, would I have to do an soa? Someone told me that the ranger springs in rear are over axle instead of under. Not sure if that would change anything by using them on the EX except make it uneven, is that true?

    6 inch lift

Hey all, I just bought a 91 explorer recently, so don't know much about them. I have been looking for a 6 inch suspension lift kit and can't seem to find one. I've heard that ranger kits could work but some parts wouldn't be able too. If ranger kits could work, what kit and what would I also...

    6inch lift

I figured that out lol So does any ranger body lift work for an explorer?

    6inch lift

Hello, does anyone know where I could get a 6-8inch lift for a 2006 explorer? I've been looking everywhere but cant seem to find anything.
