    Crusie control and the horn

    Are you sure you bought the correct button? When I was at the junkyards, I noticed different buttons on them. All were toasty anyway so I ended up buying new. maybe there's a wire that got pinched?

    Great score! I love those crew cabs. I would love one in 4x4. I've seen a few in Guadalajara. One thing I've noticed in Guadalajara is most cars are manual shift. Lots of VW's. Makes sense that it's a 2.3 as the vehicles there mostly have smaller engines. Even the motorcycles have small engines...

    4.0 rattle when warm

    Rusted bed floor?? Help to replace?

    What if you found a donor truck with a bed that's in better shape? Maybe through craigslist? That and a paint job may be cheaper. I recall removing my bed wasn't so bad. I removed it to replace the fuel pump in the gas tank.

    New motor or fix what ive got?

    I can tell you the 4.0 SOHC is not cheap to rebuild. It's a complicated motor with a timing chain at the right rear of the engine. I'm assuming you have changed the valve cover gasket.
