They refer to the part as the Intermediate Shaft or Seal....
Here is the parts list
1 N1MZ*4A015*B - Sealing Ring - $2.37 on Tasca Parts, (Replaces:L1MZ-4A015-A, L1MZ-9F598-A, N1MZ-9F598-B)
Would be nice if someone could get the rev history on that seal..... :)
4 L1MZ*4382*C - Bolt

Just the leak no codes, I have to think they upgraded the seal if they are replacing the FADA units why push that liability back to the owners....
On our 9-20 build it looks like they replaced the seal and did not convert from the FADA to intermediate shaft judging by the work order. I have yet to crawl under the car to verify and the dash shows power only going to the rear wheels for whatever that's worth I would assume for those that had...
Our 2020 is in the shop for this right now, will be fun talking to our service writer when I ask what the fix was... Are the EPA #s gathered in normal mode?
The developers have zero say in what gets worked on that stuff is prioritized way above their heads unless someone has a back channel to them to get stuff done "on the side".
It would be interesting to see Fords org chart for the development team and how they integrate all of their work, when...
It really depends on their dev structure and how effective their project management structure is. Some companies may keep it all in house, or they have a team of full time and contract employees in house and they sprinkle a few off shore contractors in the mix. Do they have one lead contractor...
Columbus....... India?
I do not envy the people I know who manage dev teams over seas, and I have no idea if Ford is outsourcing any of their software development but in this day and age its a reasonable assumption most industries outside of government contracts are using the :ahem...
I followed your write up with a few tweaks, I used the stock enclosure with an 8" Pioneer sub, cut the plug off the wires for the stock sub and spliced them into an RCA cable for the input on the amp. You definitely need an amp to push this thing the stock amp didn't even come close, it hits...
Its a sealed transmission, unless you have the pump to cycle the fluid you wont be filling it yourself.... There is no dipsitck because Ford are dipsh!ts......
Not a wagon the sedan, went through periods with the wing on and off ended up putting the spoiler from the limited on before I traded it in.
Good luck finding a low mileage V2 wagon for a decent price :)
I traded my 07 STi in with 65k miles on it and got $30k for it, I paid $35k for it and kept it for 7.5 years.
In my case it kept its value extremely well, in the 65k miles I put on it the only major maintenance was plugs, fuel filter and fluids. I am pretty sure I dumped it right before the...
If only there was a way for us to check the transmission fluid level.....
How is it serviced? I am guessing there is a fill plug somewhere and you hook it up to a machine that cycles out the old and injects new fluid until the old is gone?
At least you can drop the pan on this trans unlike the...
Got it back today, basically Ford still has no idea what the issue is, the tech said the sound is not as bad after replacing the left front strut. We are going to drive it for a while and go from there. The tech also checked all the subframe bolts all were installed properly. They also drove...
My build date is Sep 19 so we fell outside of the recall, we did have the same issue with the camera which got replaced a few weeks ago under a warranty claim.
I asked about the sway bar, the tech had already unhooked it and drove it around and the sound was still there.
Good job on that one, that eliminates three components.
I am not expecting much after reading this thread, I would like to get some feedback from the guys that are lowered. Have any of you heard the rattle after lowering?
I know there are no off the shelf after market sway bar links yet but the sound reminds me of bad sway bar links.
Our ST is in the dealership for the rattle, the tech has drove it three days in a row on the highway and around the parking lot, their first course of action is replacing a strut, should have it back tomorrow to verify.
Ahh my bad I didn't watch the video, I bet we could swap screens with the people that want the 10" screens, the catch would be reprogramming the 10 to the 8, would be interesting to see if they could enable the massaging seats as well.
