    Footwell LEDs

Sounds like you could do similar to rear light bars and tap into the positive to the tail lights. They should be on when you want the bar to be. The wire is accessible under the under carpet below the inside fuses. Pink and black I think..

    Camshaft Recommendations for 5.0L V8?

I have an sct tuner and bout the pro racing software and am able to build my own tunes for my X. It comes with a booklet on tuning for mostly fords and specifically the sct tuner. It has let me push the rpm limit to match my cam, mine is slightly less aggressive than the ones posted here but...

If you order them from the website I have been told to expect 6~ months at a minimum. It’s a one man show and he gets to them as he can.

Safe to use both LCA 'ears' at same time?

This makes me feel better lol. In highschool and when I did tires we used “lift points” on the frame for everything. And I have never once used those on my ex lol.

Backup Camera on licence plate frame

I have mine on my license plate, I put it at the bottom to not be in the way of the hatch handle. Get the whole back panel off the lift gate, I ran the wire up back through the license plate light, I saw a video from another member here sent it that way. Then the cable I ran up above into the...

    1998 Explorer 5.0 “Restoration2021” project

Mine showed up with 8 I think… now imma go count. I only needed one wire from them for now and have the rest as back ups. Was it one of the short ones missing ? I can send you one of my extras. I shouldn’t be burning those up hopefully.

    1998 Explorer 5.0 “Restoration2021” project

I just bought a pair of the same clearance standard motor pro series ones. They are the same as the stock OEM ones. They just did not come with as many heat shields. But had the 3 main ones. With shipping even was only like $38 sweet deal for sure.

Safe to use both LCA 'ears' at same time?

From my experience the cross member should not be used. I definitely have bent mine inward over the years from lifting / jack stand there. But I still use it cuz I pretty much forget each time. I also use the center of the rear diff for Jacking back up.. like center of that pumpkin. And every...

Safe to use both LCA 'ears' at same time?

I did mine both same time. I had all 4 tires up even. Had the rotors and bearings off. Edit: oh I see now the ears you mean. I put the jack under the torsion bar connection. I even jack the thing up with the cross member probably not the best spot tough.

My original unit wouldn’t reset, I held the off and floor then pressed max a/c. But all it does is display a few numbers 01/03/06/03 I had found the threads with the whole procedure for the reset / diagnostic mode. Then it would not let me do the test or anything it would exit diagnostic mode...

But they charge me labor! So if I say, just added more PAG 46 without actually purging first how bad this gonna be for a road trip? The first time I tried to recharge it was 2 weeks ago. It held pressure to about 30-50psi took the 28-32oz of Freon I had. But the condenser would never stay on...

Swapped out the actuator for the blend door. Donor vehicle had a new one in it was missing the back screw made it an easy removal ! But when I plugged it in to test before pulling mine out. It didn’t move.. Fuse is good, tester not showing power. So from reading around on here next suspect...

Haha mine definitely gets pats and rubs on the dash. Mostly when I can tell the rigs happy, or after long trips, but also when it has made it through when I know it could have thrown in the towel too. My car has an energy to it for sure.

Out of curiosity, is it the part that you have to remove the shift selector to get to? Would be the only part I did not replace while I had it open. It has not flashed at me again. Drove a solid hour yesterday and today another hour. Everything felt fine, only code now is the egr insufficient...

Won’t ever give up on this rig lol. On the way to work my O/D off light is flashing now 😅 I swear I will make it on this road trip. I technically have rebuild parts for that, just didn’t want to dive that deep into the trans.. but really I was so close at that point. Oof. For reference the...

It rains a lot here and I have yet to put my splash gaurds back been doing a lot of front end work. That’s good to know, I will keep an eye out for that too. Yea my stupid addiction to red accessories had me get those Amazon sleeves. I’ll grab 2 sets of the aluminzed if I have any more issues...

Welp first burnt wire from the headers even with Amazon cheap sleeves and I thought decent routing. I am happy that this is the cause of the misfire / backfire issues I hope.

Cold Air Intake for 5.0 Explorer

That’s an old thread just to say something random.. Here is a great link explaining back pressure. https://www.customcompleteautomotive.com/blog/how-does-exhaust-back-pressure-affect-your-engine Though when it comes to performance no back pressure on the system is most likely best. I have...

Looks a lot more red then the second picture gives justice .. but either way I am very pleased with that change. I had some mis fires when I was out driving never had that before… felt like the engine was dumping to much fuel all the sudden, happened mainly when I was at a lower rpm but under...

I’ll have em back in tonight :). I had to delicately peel the face plate off. It is glued down on a few spots around the base of the needles mostly, and a couple spots up at the top of the cluster left and right for the center gauge.

Oh dang for some reason the pads seemed like the same item when I was looking at parts individually. More stopping power is nice in general for me I don’t mind the pad wear and am used to dust but these should still have a lot less then standard pads. Good to know.

I did the z36. But they are the same thing just one has rubber / plastic brackets z23, and the z36 have metal clips. I mainly wanted the red calipers 😅. But the whole kit I got for 590 on sale at summit racing. They had a promotion going and the part was discounted. They also sell the parts...
