I've got a 2015 XLT with about 90,000 miles on it. I love it other than routine maintenance I've only had a few minor issues. We used it to tow a small travel trailer until the wife wanted a bigger one. The thing runs and tows( within it's limits) like a champ. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Just need some air bags...air bags fix everything..🙄

Thanks that's kind of what I was looking for. I bought this car used otherwise I wouldn't even have a remote start ( I can't stand them). Also I wasn't aware that the antenna on the windshield was supposed to have a wire attached to it.

Yes, and both key fobs work properly. I have also tried both remote start fobs and get no response from either one. The red led on both start fobs blink when I press the start button. I have also checked both start fobs at Auto zone. Both are transmitting.

Doing the best I can here. This is the key fob that came with the car.

That's only for the remote start. I have to press the lock button the key fob first. Then I press the start button on the second fob.

Nothing plugged in. The only thing ever plugged in was a trailer break controller. That has long been removed.

Also it worked fine until a few months ago. My wife only uses it when it starts getting cold.

Correct. It's a Ford dealer installed unit. It's an actual Ford part installed by a Ford dealership, that Ford can't fix!!!🤬

Sorry about the file. When I opened it there was just a 6 page document. There are no chirps, lights beeps or anything it's completely non responsive. Honestly my main goal is to remove the thing and install an after market unit. Once the Ford dealership told they had no idea how to repair it I...

I'm not getting ANY response from it. I've tried all the tests I could find online.

The Ford Dealership says they can't repair the remote start on my wife's 2015 XLT. Anybody have an idea how I can just remove the thing. I want to install one from 12v systems but I don't think I can until I remove the current system.

Figured I'd try this place out before I drop my Wife's 2015 Explorer in the shredder and buy a Honda.
