I had gotten a used junkyard transmission cuz my tranny gave out at 196k I got a junkyard tranny with 120k for 600$ mechanic installed it for 500$ it runs great finally hope it lasts 50-60k reverse is a bit iffy but it's fine.

I would buy a used engine from the yard with maybe lower miles? Also maybe they didn't take care of the car enough when you bought it.I got an 04 as we'll have done almost the same work you have new suspension new ac lines radiator tires u name it then transmission went out at 197k I replaced it...

I had the same issue on my explorer I just replaced the whole front new suspension wheel bearings with abs sensor light finally went away

I had the same problem on my 04 that it even had gotten stuck at the way bottom smh lol it turned out it was the window motor. My drives now works perfect but the rest have a mind of their own go up slowly won't go up kinda of annoying but it's okay I guess I'm sure it's the motors

I ended up changing my oil today with some mobile 1 and kn filter the chattering noise I was hearing at idle I could barely notice the sound than how it was before. Hopefully soon I'll get an engine for it I really like the truck here are some pics of it

Yes it's at idle sometimes the noise comes sometimes it doesn't pretty weird man it could be the timing chains I'm not to sure. Does yours do it too?

I have a 04 at 193k it also does that rattly chattery noise on idle. The oil change is coming up man I hope it goes away I will put this in consideration
