    New CV axle

That's exactly what's squealing, though It only started with the new CV. I just went on an 8hr road trip. And before I did. I hosed down that seal with wd40. And used a flat blade to pull it out from the hub an 1/8" and sprayed more in behind it. It's been nice and quiet ever since. Don't know...

    2000 Mounty, speedo correction?

Welp I'm working on it tomorrow and will report back. Thankyou! Very happy with the truck. The paint on the hood and roof is pretty beat, needs sanding, clear coat and maybe some new paint. But it's 100% rust free. And that's all I care about. Slightly off topic, Here's another Pic of the tires...

    2000 Mounty, speedo correction?

It moves the 31s just fine. I barely notice a difference. Other than the speedo and shift points being a little off. I'm in the rust belt of Virginia. So finding any 4.10 diffs that are usable is gonna be a joke. ( my mounty is 100% rust free) I think it lived out west before I found it here...

    2000 Mounty, speedo correction?

Just put some 31s on my mounty and wanted to know how to correct the speedo? Earlier models had the little gears you change out T-case but the 2000 has a VSS doesn't it? I have a high end code reader/tool.

    How long did that take?

    New CV axle

Well it's been like 1000 miles now and this damn thing is till squealing. Only after the vehicle and parts warm up though. It's Embarrassing pulling into my neighborhood

AC only works on coldest setting?

Just to update, I got the blend actuator motor swapped out and recalibrated it with the scan tool first. Then learned you can hold off/defrost? As i recall from a video, I'll double check. To activate its own recalibration mode. Where it'll do a test for 30 seconds, then show a full lit screen...

AC only works on coldest setting?

I used the scan tool and it tried to do the re-calibration for the EATC. The display on for the temp does a little animation. But the clicking started immediately and went on for about 2 min. Threw the code DTC B1249. Blend door actuator

AC only works on coldest setting?

I actually have a very nice Autel scan tool. That can perform all kinds of functions. I haven't had it long enough to know all it's features. Any idea how to go about re-calibrating the blend door? I'll check that vacuum valve, that was in my mind as another possible problem

AC only works on coldest setting?

I did search this first. But my issue seems different than most. EATC controls (digital readout temp) When I first got this 2000 mounty, it had the clicking noise with the hvac like the blend door actuator gear had stripped (this truck hasn't had much if any use for a long time by a little...

    New CV axle

Awesome, thanks. Basically confirmed everything I thought. I did not grease the area since it's a sealed bearing. Unlike tapered jeep/solid axle stuff. I did clean and blow it out quite well though. I did not knowing this was a common thing. That makes me feel alot better, lol. I figured it'd...

    New CV axle

Just replaced the driver side CV axle, and now I have this squeaking sound which turns into a kind of whirring noise from 1 to 25mph.. It's like if you wet your finger and drag it across a window noise. Install went fine, torqued the axle nut to 180ft lbs, the diff side popped into place at the...

    Shock cross reference?

A set of ORI'S would solve all the problems.. Lol I figure any 2.0 coil overs off a 4runner, tacoma f150 or will work and the spring rate will be close enough. I was on a scale yesterday and it weighed 4600lbs flat. It's still odd that rockauto doesn't list or show those traction bars or that...

    Shock cross reference?

I mean.. cheap shocks are cheap. But nothing is cheap anymore. I was seeing if anything newer like pull off fox/bilsteins etc. From newer f150, jeep JK etc were of a similar length that could be used that people ditched for new suspension lifts I didn't wanna sink 4 to 500 in shocks when I plan...

    Shock cross reference?

Just picked up a 2000 V8 awd mounty. Feels tight. Zero rust. I was wondering if anyone knew about any shocks cross referencing from other vehicles? I have a set of 5100 bilsteins off an 04 Jeep TJ. Factory height. I haven't had time to pull one and chech the collapsed/extended lengths. It looks...

How to: V8 transmission mount shootout

Something I didn't see mentioned.. Did you change your engine mounts to poly as well? Trans and engine mounts are always supposed to be the same type. Otherwise when the engine torques the driveline doesn't flex together and can break the trans or T-case. Probably not a concern for the average...
