I put a rebuilt shift motor on the transfer case...
its tight but not supertight...lol
i read on one of the threads about the motor being tilted so i just loosened it a bit and it worked. Im have to check the case fluid in the morning...
update:::::
i loosened the 4 nuts and it worked! no 4 wheel low but i do have 4 wheel high and it lights on the dash...
isnt that strange? could it have been binded?
now i have it just barely tightened could it vibrate loose and then off?
ok folks i put a rebuilt trans case shift in and still nothing!
no lights on the dash and no shifting into 4x4?
there is a clicking noise from the left side rear quarterpanel in the 4x4 controller area
is there a next step i can try?
I have a 1993 explorer that runs great. The problem is when i push the 4 wheel button on the dash it doesnt go into 4 wheel drive. The button doesnt even light up. it worked up til a couple weeks ago when i towed my boat off of a ramp. Any suggestions or possibilities?
