    Goodbye and Thanks

Thanks, all. I'll be sure to check in with you all. I'm really enjoying the Tacoma. I do miss that low throaty growl of the Ex, however. ;)

    Goodbye and Thanks

All, I just thought I would drop in and let everyone know that I sold the '01 Sport and bought a new '07 Tacoma Double Cab, so I won't be around the forum anymore. I appreciate everyone's help in everything and I hope you all enjoy your Ex's for years to come. Take Care.

It Works Just to let anyone know who's interested. This is a Mach head unit. I plugged it in today, and it was bass-a-rific!

    Help Verifying Part Number

Hello all! I recently bought what was claimed to be a Mach head unit from eBay. However, when I installed the head unit, I got no bass from my sub. I re-installed my factory 6-CD changer, and the sub started working. The part number from the eBay unit was F87F-18C868-CE. I believe this part...

    Explorer 2000 sport audio

Need more info Als...welcome to the boards. I might can help you, but I need to know if you have the factory Mach system (with subwoofer), Premium system (without subwoofer), or base system. Edit: I think this system will work with any configuration...

    Swapping Stereos

Thanks for the info, guys. I got a Mach CD/Cassette combo with all three plugs I need off eBay for $114 shipping and all. Best part is, I can just steal the PIE Aux. adapter off the radio in my Dad's truck and put it in mine. :) God bless eBay! By the way, the reason I didn't want to go...

    Swapping Stereos

rwenzing, thanks for the info. That's the most helpful information I've seen thus far. I'll check it out when I'm home during Thanksgiving. Thanks again!

    Swapping Stereos

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently using an RF transmitter, but the sound quality/volume is definitely not good enough for me. As far as an auxilliary port goes: that's the problem with this particular head unit, there is no extra port in which to plug an adapter. That's why I'm thinking...

    Swapping Factory Stereos

Thanks...I don't guess it could ever be as simple as buying an adapter harness, eh?

    Swapping Factory Stereos

I just got a new iPod and I'm severely dissapointed that I cannot plug it directly into my 2001 Ex Sport with in-dash 6 disc changer. My dad has a 2002 or 2003 Mazda B2300 pickup with a factory single cd stereo and I know I can plug an AUX adapter into it. My question is: will the B2300 stereo...

    '01 Sport iPod Interface

I've done some searching, but still could not find an answer for my specific head-unit. I have the factory 2001 Explorer Sport Pioneer in-dash 6-disc CD Changer. I want to install an auxiliary input for my iPod (don't necessarily need to control it from the radio...an 1/8" input will be fine)...

    door ajar chime

Use a flathead screwdriver to flip the latch on the driver's side door that closes when you normally close the door. It's about middle-ways down the door. When the door closes, this latch closes around the U-bracket that's bolted to the body door opening. Once that latch is flipped, you can...

    AC Performance Update

Did the auto parts store let you use their gauge set? I'd like to check my low and high side both, but I don't want to shell out $80 for the guages/hoses.

    Strange A/C problem

Alrighty I don't know if I'm ready to drop the kinda cheese it takes to do the electric fan thing. It sounds like a great idea, though, and I probably will at some point in the future. If I went the route of changing out the fan clutch, how involved is that? I see the part is only like $60...

    Strange A/C problem

Hello all. I tried an extensive search through the forums and I couldn't find an instance in which someone had the exact same problem I do. Let me preface by saying that I have checked the pressure on the low side of my A/C system and it's at 45, which is nominal from what I have read. The...

    Install new plugs/wires today

I would say whatever OEM uses is most likely best. One place manufacturers don't cut corners is engine components.

    Install new plugs/wires today

Don't get my wrong, pfeffer, german built engines are awesome. Their power stands alone, and their durability is on-par with the japanese. I just think they don't keep us shadetree mechanics in mind when they design the engines. ;) The plugs were $4 a piece, and the wires were $42, I believe...

    Install new plugs/wires today

diddy....I hear ya, man. When I read that the engine that the engine was german designed/built, it all made sense. I'm a quality engineer at german automaker here in the US and most mechanics would break down in tears after opening the hood of one of their finished vehicles.

    Install new plugs/wires today

Borg Werner was my choice b/c no one had Autolite's in stock. I would've had to wait 'till Wed., and I'll be out of town then. So I just asked the dude at O'reilly's to gimme the best they had. I had heard some good things of the Werner's, so I decided to give 'em a shot. Not bad so far. If...
