My friends 03 Mountaineer just developed this problem. Cheap SOB bought the friction modifier fluid and a couple of quarts of the specified 75W-140 Ford gear lube, drained and refilled with the new stuff and the clutch plate chatter went away.

Broken eyelet connector to the solenoid; fixed

Problem solved Crawled underneath, one of the wires to the solenoid had broken off at the eyelet. Crimped on a new eyelet connector; fixed.

I got a 03 V8 Mountaineer that the starter won't make a peep. This is a part listed for the car Motorcraft SWE5020.

Here's what screwed me up, the original poster said: "Somewhere I read a 33 code is for the passenger side air bag." According to the alldata report, 33 is the driver's side.

Not disagreeing. Misprints can happen, just want a second opinion with the same credibility as Alldata.

Is the TSB correct for Code? Getting ready to order the pretensioner kit, but cruising around via Google I see sites that say a "33" is the passenger side code. Also, a disconnect of the passenger side connector briefly fixed the LFC 33 from blinking. I can't find another copy of this TSB. Is...
