    Will 2003 Escape wheels fit a 2000 XLT?

    I found a set of 2003 Escape rims. I know they will fit lug-wise but will they work with the 40 mm + offset that they are & 7" wide ? Will they rub on components etc?     I have a 2000 302 AWD and the front brakes have never been changed. How do you remove the caliper bracket w/o stripping the bolts in the spindle? They seem to be rusted together. I can remove the caliper ok, but the bracket that cradles the rotor wont budge. Anyone else have this problem? I dont...

    typical gas mileage with v-8

    I've been getting 15-16.5 in town. Never seen any better though. I'm going to disconnect my front driveline.

    Converting AWD to 2WD

    I have a 2000 V8 AWD, not selectable with the switch on the dash. Can I remove the front driveline for 2wd or will it mess stuff up? Just moved from WY to TX and I wont need 4wd plus the gas mileage sucks.
