A factory amp is not gonna be enough power to run an aftermarket sub efficiently. Plus, its not as clean as aftermarket. Different subs have different RMS/Max ratings. Good rule of thumb......the more the sub is cost wise, the more power it will need.

You can mix any amp with any sub as long as the impedence and power is right. I'm not familiar with Hifonics, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

A couple things to consider.... 1) Maybe just use one sub that can handle a bit more power. 2) How much space to you want to lose? Two subs will take up more room. I've had one JL 10W3v2 in my old '87 S-15 Jimmy and it got pretty loud for just one sub.

Most mid-high level head units from most brands now days have sub control. It all depends on what you like. I recomend taking everyones advice into consideration, but also goin out to shops and playing for yourself. Some HU's are more user friendly than others. I have Alpine's in both my cars...

We just bought an '05 XLT V6 with the AdvanceTrac in Dec. Loving it so far. It's basicly loaded except leather and does have the 3rd row seating, which my wife loves for when we have our nephews or she's out with her friend and all 4 kids.

With an adapter they will. But are you gonna run them with an amp or the head unit? Cause those are 2 ohm speakers. Head units are 4 ohm, it can be bad for the head unit to run 2 ohm speakers.

X2! Hertz makes some killer components. I'm running JL's XR650-CSi 6.5" components in my minitruck and it has great midbass.

With modification, anything will fit. It just depends on how much modification it will need and what you wanna do. What kind of system are you doing to need an 8" midbass? Alot of the times you can get just as much midbass out of a 6".

Well then what I would do is go to Wal-mart and get the cheapest cd player and speakers. That way if you do have issues with the product you can just take it back to 'em. And if it does get stolen its cheap and easy to replace.

Neither! I'd get a JL or a Rockford. I've seen WAY to many Kicker stuff come back because they blew up.
