If I was betting man I would say that I could fix the issue for 3 bux. I'll give you a hint. It's made out of nylon and is 1/16th of an inch thick. I actually just fixed this issue on my f350 with a couple of plumbing parts.

I assumed that the pawl was broken, but why would that allow the truck to creep forward(think up a slight incline)?

oh yeah, when the truck is in park with the engine off it is like it is in nuetral, ie I have to put the parking brake on or it will roll away:p

My donor truck wants to creep forward when I have it in Park. Other than that it works great :D And by creep forward I mean like it is almost in drive, but not quite.

Yup, but I have three manual ones sitting here too. One has been cut and is ready to be put in as a doubler as soon as the shaft come back from the machine shop. Another one is ready to cut. And the third is just sitting there.

Try the idler pulley. There is a little spring in there that after it heats up can contact the inside of the pulley. You can feelit if you stick your finger in there...w/ the engine off of course! just tweak it back a little and your problem could be solved. Another thing to check is the...
