    I have a 04 4.0 4x4 and towed my dodge neon over 3000 miles with an av of 12mpg. From michigan to california. My daily av with a heavy foot is 19. so I cant complain. I had the same 4.0 on my ranger 4x4 with 4.10 front and rear with less hp and this is not the same. I like it better...

    The diameter of the tires vs the diameter of the fender is not the same as yours. even if I lift it I would have to cut my fender to put on bigger tires.

    pics of my new 265/70/16 A/T tires

    Tire size I have 255/70r17 on my 04 and there is not much room in the front but they do not rub. The tire shop did not want to put them on. They wanted a fitting fee. I took it to some one eals and I have not had a problem. I wish I would have went bigger.

    I need to replace my shocks on my 04 explorer XLT with 70000 miles. I have put new tires on a couple of months ago (P255/70r17). This gave me about an inch and a half. I would like to go taller but no one makes a suspention lift yet for this truck. Does anyone make aftermarket shocks for this...
