Hello When I down shift during breaking the transmission makes a large clunk sound every 3 to 5 seconds but remains in gear slowing the vehicle. I have the 1994 manual explorer sport and trans fluid is normal. Is this the clutch or more serious? Thank you, Tom

I want to check the level of my transmission fluid on my 94 manual X (mazda tranny). I looked in my Chilton book and it said the plugs were normally 3/8 inches... I looked underneeth and I think they were bigger than 7/8... Am I looking at the right plugs, the drain plug is clearly marked...
