    Update, the engine runs very well, a stock OHV bottom end, CR is 11.x:1, 18bars when doing a compression test. Put the rpm limit to 5200rpm, so it will last a while.... Finnally all the effort is paying off:D

    It wasn't a big end, I assumed it was from investigations from the sparkplug hole.... The damages was very limited since the piston still was attached to the rod:D Just minor damages to the pistons, but the rod need a new bush though.... I've sourced another block which I am putting...

    Have a look at the old turbotechnics conversions..... They are 2.9 12v cologne based, but they could be a good information source, they perform very well. They got an impressive torque curve.... And there is also ONE 2.9 24v version, 530bhp@ 1 bar..... //Tobbe

    I blew the clutch when I was out on the road mapping it.. I managed to drive it 400km, and I can say that when everything is tuned in, it will run pretty nice....... It's bloody strong...... I estimate I will be back on the road in april with it..... Got a much stronger clutch now:D

    Wonder how it turned out for him, if he ever finished the engine. There's a big differ between his and mine engine, his was BOA based and my is BOB based, meaning different heads, chaindrive and inlet. The only boa stuff I am going to try to use is the thermostat housing, if possible...

    Did fail on machining a own helicalgear so the 2.9 stuff had to be modded with bigger journals, and also the distributor dummy plug is used, ofcourse there are some moddes to the lock washer aswell. Got a spare saft from a mate in UK, did also get a few other parts so I still can put the 2.9...
