    Boltpattern 4.0 v6 8 bolted crank

    Any one knowing the bolt pattern of the 8 bolted 4.0 crank? Also the guide diameter for the flywheel? And also what thread it is on the bolts? Thanks Tobbe

    4.0 OHV max rpm

    How high do you rev your 4.0 ohv engines? Any one going 6500rpm+? I took my engine past 6500, and I got a big end bearing failure as a result:D Back to the garage again, and hopefully I will find another crank..... //Tobbe

    4.0 OHV into 4.0 24v COSWORTH

    As the topic. It's based upon a 93:ish 4.0 bottom end and the rest of the bits are from a 2.9i 24v BOB cosworth. Just missing a few bits to be able to put it all togehter. But here are a few old pics from how a few bits fit together.

    Hi all

    New in. I am not an explorer owner but I do own a 93:ish 4.0 bottom end, which I have fitted with cosworth's 24v BOB heads, not ready for start up just yet, but the chaindrive is in place so the trickiest bit is done at least:D . Were just googeling around for some tech info and found this...
