    2003 SPORT TRAC TIRE SIZE

    NOT long ago I bought a 2003 sport trac and I just noticed the tires that are on it are 225x70x16 and the manual and door sticker both list tire size as 255x70x16 so should I change them? it seems not to be as stable in curves as it should be,also it seems to ride a little rough. THANKS SHERMAN

    HI, I have 2003 explorer sport trac and had the same problem I was lucky it came with a 3000 mile or 3 month warranty and they fixed it, they replaced the the whole valve body and the inside trans. wiring harness and so far no more problems. GOOD LUCK. SHERMAN

    Considerations for long term use

    I have a 2001 xlt it now has 181k on it and I have not had any problems with the trans. or motor. SOME folks buy one and think they are buying a tank and treat it like one, they are not tanks.

    I have a 2003 sport trac and it is recording the wrong mileage,it is 17 miles round trip from my house to town and back but it say's it is 25 miles,I also have a 2001 explorer and it records the right miles to town and back. ANY HELP? THANKS SHERMAN

    Maybe I should not have purchased an Explorer ? (warning: long)

    HI I have a 2001 v6 sohc with 176k miles on it and have not had any problems other than replacing the intake gaskets and it gets about 19 or 20mpg on the open road.
