Hey i found on another thread that the SOHC motor from '97-'03 are the same,,, soooo that means a HEAD from a '02 will fit my '98 engine ?????? if so i found a '02 head for $250 than all i would have to do is buy 2 pistons ,,,

Hey guys ,, well the reason is my sohc engine decided to put 2 valves down thru the pistons and i can not find another engine !!!!!,,, 1/2 the people dont even know about the sohc engine ,,,,, I can't even fine a HEAD so i could replace the pistons and fix it ,,,,, but i can get 3 - 4 OHV...

Hey again guys ,,, Does n e one know if u can swap out the 4.0L SOHC with a 4.0L OHV ????? OR the transmission innerchangable ??? ,, will the Tranmission out of a SOHC explorer fit into a OHV explorer ???

Hey ,,, does n e one know if body parts,, like fenders, Lights, grill,, etc will fit fr a 98 Explorer xlt to a 95 Explorer sport ????

yaa soon gonna start tearing the HEAD off and see what the damage is & go fr there,,, i can buy a whole 95 Explorer for $400 sooooo there will be all the parts i ever need , replace the HEAD (if thats all it needs) and take it somewhere else this time to get it timed up ,,,

Hey took intake PLENUM off and could see the intake valves down the port holes ,, # 6 intake seat is all broke and the valve wont even go shut,,

Hey guys ,,, did a COMPRESSION test this morning once it stopped raining ,, and not goood ,,, Drivers side (4,5,6) 0 compression !!!!( or well less and 25 psi cause my gauge starts @ 25psi),,, ,,, pass, side (1,2,3) 130 + psi ,,, sooo shes only running on 3 cyl's,!!! so now gotta...

ohh man that would suck if they forgot to torque down the Cam sprocket arhhhh ,,,,,, im gonna do a compression test tomorrow morn and go fr there,,,,,, They only had to touch the frt , drivers side CAM ,, so if its that ,, they should have to stand by it if that cam is off time ,,,
