Water pump failure leads to dead engine

This forum has been so helpful to me and the family through the ownership of our 2008 Explorer Sport Trac, which we traded in for a 2011 Explorer... at a little under 126K miles this weekend, we experienced the "failed water pump with no warning leading to failed engine" fiasco... We've also had...

    No Key Detected

I've had this issue for about 6 months. Took it to the dealer, paid $100 to be told they dont know what the issue is. Took it back in recently (turned out to be the PTU issue, unrelated) and they said I need to replace the push button module, $454!!!

    PTU Problems

Hey everyone, Guess I'll throw my story "hat" in the ring... My wife was having issues with our 2011 Explorer, when reversing out of our slightly sloped driveway, the car had "tension" and would not roll freely, but all of a sudden it would free up with a clunk/jump. It was also making a...

    Broken pigtail antenna

thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to take a closer look at the stock antenna assembly tonight to see if soldering that wire will do the trick. I'm not sure an easy-out will work since its the threaded male-end on the roof itself, and the female portion is attached to the pigtail. So...

    Broken pigtail antenna

I think it bolts to the roof from the inside though... :( And in my days I've ruined plenty of trim inside the car messing with the audio system, I'd hate to do that to the truck!

    Broken pigtail antenna

Hey everyone, this is my first post so I'm hoping you can help me out. I have a 2011 Explorer Limited, my wife broke the pigtail portion of the antenna off the truck backing out of the garage (I'll leave that alone since this isn't a Marriage Venting forum, lol). The metal connector snapped...
