I heard that when changing the spark plugs in a V8 (02 X EB) that they are known to break.....is this true? If so, exactly what happens???

This is my issue. When I push the parking brake pedal down it does not stay down; it will go down but on its own come back up. Now if I hold the pedal down and leave it in gear or in neutral it will hold the exp but the minute I let that pedal go it comes right back up. Any ideas as to what this...

Just a quick update and thanks to everyone. I replaced the coil on Tuesday afternoon & so far so good. A lot more power (didn't realize it was that big of a misfire) response is a whole lot better & no hesitation or shaking at idle! Thanks again!
