    Lowering a 93

    egeekial... are you sure about that drop of a 4x4? Do you personally have it done? Those springs are for a 4x2 and the front differentials/transfer case looks like if you lower the vehicle, the case will slam the oil pan... I wanted to do it, but it didn't look like a good idea... Please, let me...

    Another thing, your front differentials/transfer case will hit your oil pan. I already looked into it.

    TDG... if you could tell me how you went about lowering it, I'd appreciate it... The oil pan doesn't hit the front transfer case though??? It didn't look like enough room to me... thanks for any info...

    selling custom built box w/subs

    I have a box that was professionally built for my X (91-94) with 2-12" MTX 8000's. It's an isobaric-bandpass box which is essentially a sealed box built within a bigger bandpass box. The subs cost me near $400 each, and the box cost me another $350. It fit's perfectly between the two wheel wells...

    just to let all you know that "Eibach" makes a 2" drop spring for the 2WD, but I don't see how the springs wouldn't work for a 4WD, right? Aaanyone have a difference of opinion? Let me know. The only thing you may have to deal with is notching your oil pan so it doesn't slam against your front...

    Do you guys think I could get away with using the eibach 2" lowering springs for my 4WD?? They say for a 2dr/4dr 2WD, but I can't imagine them being much different... Your 2 cents appreciated!

    More on LOUSY Fuel Mileage

    O2 sensors Replacing these are a good thing to do. I replaced mine at 109K miles as I was getting 13-15 MPG. After replacing them i see 18-20. You should also notice a better throttle response. I did them myself but they were a b*tch to do. Unless you have time and patience, it's worth...

    I may be the millionth person asking and posting this, and for that I'm sorry. Can you lower a four door explorer that has 4WD?? Does anyone know off the top of their heads what parts I need to do this? I am looking for a small drop, 1.5 - 2" total. I want to put 17's on it and make the wheel...
