Hey, thanks for all your replies. I had a feeling I didn't want to use the Explorer tranny, y'all just confirmed what I thought. My son is the one wanting the swap. I convinced him to wait 'til he gets a good tranny and t-case. Thanks again, guys.

I'm swapping a Mountaineer 5.0 into my son's '92 Explorer and need a little info. I need to know if the 5.0 will mate with the stock tranny already in the Explorer. Anybody who can give me information on this situation? Thanks in advance. And thank you...
