From what I've found the MAP sensor appears to be part of the EGR assembly (right on top), and is not serviceable separately. Agree that the problem is quite strange. Just waiting to hear back from the transmission shop at this point to see where we go next.

Update: Transmission shop #2 says transmission needs to be rebuilt again. They said it's missing 3rd gear and also problems with reverse. I'm somewhat hoping they get it apart and realize they were wrong, because I'll still have the P0106 and P0443 codes when they're done and will have to figure...
