What is the biggest lift I can put on a1993 ex without doing an axel swap

If you do need to extend the rear driveline with a 6" lift (as I did mine). Just use a longbox Ranger driveline. It fits perfect with a SOA lift in the rear. I have 80,000 miles on mine and zero problems as of yet.

    spring over ?

I have a really bad vibration at 65 mph. It starts at about 62 and is gone at 70, but I also had this vibration when it was bone stock but it was more in the front then and has moved to the rear. It feels like the u-joint at the transfer case is shot, but it's tight and have been running it...

    spring over ?

Not quite sure about the 2 piece part. It looks just the Explorer ones only a bit longer. It came out of a 91 Ranger with a 7.5 rear end. It doesn't matter if it has an automatic or 5 speed as the trannys are the same length. You should be able to use the ones from 89-92 with no...

    spring over ?

FYI: When I did my SOA, I used a long box 4wd Ranger driveline. They are a few inches longer than a stock 4dr Explorer driveline.

    I'll let you decide

I will have to remove my lower body moulding to run 15x8's and 33's with a 6" lift. To fit 10" wide, I am going to have to do some moderate trimming. It would be a miracle to fit 33's on a 10" wide rim with only a 4" and no trimming.:)

95 Ex front and rear end, What's it worth?

I have a front end that includes: --complete diff with factory 3.73 gear ratio out of a 95 Explorer --CV axles --disk brake calipers and rotors --lower control arms and spindles --torsion bars As you can hopefully see in the picture, everything was unbolted and is ready to bolt back in...

    Navajo spring over

You will need to get 2 spring perches that will fit on your rear end and match up to the springs. I used perches off of a Ford Ranger 7.5 axle I had layin around. Then you have to put it all together but don't weld the perches on at this point. You must set the rear end angle to what you had...

    gear change cost???

There is a carrier change if you have 3.27 gears or higher (lower number). I think it only cost me like $65 through 4wheel parts. My labor was free, me and my brother did it. It was the first time for me and only the second time he had done it. We just took our time and rechecked everything a...

    gear change cost???

Hey Jammin, What speed is your freeway drivin? I turn 2250rpm at 70 (freeway speed in WA) with only 4.10's.

    James Duff Lifts

I have the 5026 kit in my Ranger. All of the the front components should be the same as the Explorer kit. They must include rear shackles in the Explorer kits for additional lift as stock Rangers have a nosedive condition and only need a 1" lift in the rear to match a 3" lift in the front.

    3" or 5.5" I can't decide!!!!!!! Help

You can run 33x12.5's on the stock 15x7 rims. They look better on wider rims but it can be done. Thats how I am running mine right now.

First Generation Explorers With 33x12.50's Bring Pictures Here!

I have a '94 with the 6" Skyjacker lift and ext. radius arms. I am still running the stock 15x7 rims that have a 4 5/8 backspacing. We tried a set of 15x8's with a 3.5 backspacing but they actually hit the outside of the fender when trying to turn the tires only a small amount. I am going to...

    goodyear MTR's

I agree with everybody else. The only downside is that they are heavier than other tires of the same size. Probably due to the fact that they are a 5 ply tread/3 ply sidewall tire. Other than that, a very good tire overall.

    discontinued skyjacker?

Yeah you're right. Sorry 'bout that. I picked up my class II 6" kit on Saturday and did not get any rear springs, so a quick call to Skyjacker and they told me I was out of luck. Back to the shop to order a Superlift.

    discontinued skyjacker?

Only their 6" systems. They are no longer making the rear springs for that application.
