Have you gotten that CD Manual installed yet?

I know there is a section on there about it.

nah, havent had time, and i really have much time in the future, what with my X getting smashed last night. i was hoping someone could just tell me how to do it quickly.

I think from reading in the owners manual that you are supposed to drive around in a clockwise circle about 2 or 3 times. I don't remember what to do about the region setting, though.

I looked in my owners manual, (mine is a 2000 model, should still be the same) and being that you are in Jersy, your "Zone" would be 10. Once the zone is selected, then drive slowly in circles.

You select the Zone: Press and hold the "Mode" button until "Zone" appears. Then press the "Mode" button until your desired zone number appears, which for New Jersy is 10. It will flash and then return to normal.

Then press and hold the "Mode" button until "CAL" appears, drive in complete circles (less than 3 mph) 2-3 times, until "CAL" goes off. Your compass is now calibrated.

Hope this helps!

yeah, i got rear ended last night. i typed up a whole long thread about it, but i think i accidentally closed the window and lost it before i posted it and i dont feel like typing it up again. basically a woman who wasnt paying attention rear ended a guy in a full size chevy pickup and he went flying into me. my tailgate door is smashed, bumper smashed, and passenger side tail light smashed. my neck is a little sore, but ill be aight - im going to the doctor in an hour just as a precaution. i took off of work today.
