bog

I have a 93 explorer 4.0 OBD I it will start fine drive down the road and it wants to bog down with the pedal to the floor and the check engine light comes on. Now when it hits 3000 rpm the light goes off and it opens right up and seems fine. At the next stop sign or light same thing happens...

Ok, so I'm stumped on this one. I would consider myself fairly good at diagnostics, but this one has me ( and apparantely a number of Ford master techs, and others, stumped) Not mine (yet???- The owner is fed up, and I might be able to buy it cheap as is, but I;m a little scared of this...
