Just replaced the crash sensor assembly on my Explorer after getting a flashing "42" code on the air bag light on the dash. Light would flash the code 3 or 4 times and then stay on. Also, got a diagnostic code using a scanner but I can't remember what it was. After lots of research on this forum...
My 2005 Lincoln Aviator is showing the Airbag LFC code of 43.
My Ford tech diagnosed it as the side impact sensor on the driver's side B Pillar.
I replaced the sensor and had a Ford tech reset the light.
