hesitation when starting

    I don't know what's wrong. need fix.

    i have 2 problems with my 2008 Ford Explorer XLT 2WD. 1.) when I try to start it, the engine hesitates for like 5 seconds then starts. Just 2 days ago I changed my EGR valve cause my check engine light was on, I thought this would solve the problem but it didn't. Any ideas what it could be...
