    O/D Off Flashing

    I just recently got a rebuilt auto trans put in my 95 explorer. Last night the O/D off light started flashing like when my trans was replaced. Its shifting hard when I slow down. Is this common in explorers? Is this a cheap fix?

    The good ole' O/D off blinking light. help

    I have a 1997 ford explorer 4wd xlt 4 door. i had no problems with it until i was on the highway one day and i got the blinking overdrive light. i took it to a mechanic and they replaced the solenoid in the tranny but that didnt work. They said "it needs a rebuild". but they never got the codes...
