    A4LD in Rat Rod

I have installed an A4LD in a rat Rod 34 Ford pickup. It is not meant to be fast just a cruiser but I am having issues with getting it to shift correctly. I am using a 2.3 L turbo motor and the truck weighs about 2500# with a 2.59 rear (1.75 in OD) . I haven't got it...

    Possible bent rod?

Hey all, first off I apologize if this has been covered before, but I really didn't feel like doing a search at this time for the answer. My wife found me, late last year, a '95 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer edition (no idea how many miles), as an emergency truck after my car bit the dust. I knew...

It still did it after I got my new tires and alignment. So now I suspect the tie rods. At this point I think...

Tie rods scraping body panel underneath feet after Bilstein shock upgrade.

Proud inheritor of 98 Explorer XLT 4x4 V6 pushrod. Just had the shocks replaced with a nice set of Bilstein Heavy Duties. An absolutely amazing upgrade ($275 for all four from shockwarehouse), it got rid of sag in rear end and actually ended up lifting the truck perhaps a half of an inch or...
  7. Female rod end.

    Female rod end.

This rod end is used with either a bolt, or a threaded rod to allow a certain percentage of movement. This makes a stationary connection have mobility. It has numerous uses from hobby projects to suspension, and steering systems. It is roughly analogous to a tie rod end.

Luckily we were able to bend it back in place. But the extreme angle that the outer CV joint had to endure was too much for it, it grenaded itself.
