01 Sport Trac. 4WD doesn't work.

On MY 2001 Explorer sport trac the 4 wd will not work. the switch is not lit On or off and when the switch is turned to on High or low the dash indicator does not appear. Lots of snow need my 4 wheel>

You could have bad 4x4 motor, you can try tapping on the motor while someone turns the switch.

4 wd not working Sport trac

wouldnt I still get an indicator light even if the motor was bad.. I dont get any lights on the switch (like when the the parking lights are on) nor do I get an indicator light on the dash when switched to on. Can the switch go bad? If so how can I test it?

Check fuses inside and under the hood.

IIRC, you won't get the indicator lights until the motor position sets.

I hate to be a "search' screamer but there are tons of posts on just this issue. The snow would melt before I could link to them all!
