02 EXPLORER 4X4 HIGH LIGHT FLASHING

Just got a 2002 explorer v6 4x4 the 4x4 high light flashes on an off don't know why I just got this vehicle 4 days ago I noticed it dosing it on the way home from getting tomorrow will be my first day off sense I got it so have not had a chance to really check anything out but I do not see anything on the dash or anything for the 4x4 so don't know but I'm guessing this has been replaced or something an now its not hooked up or something but am wondering why the light may be flashing an why there is nothing for to turn the 4x4 on with the light does not stay on but flashes on an off any help would be great will try an post some pics of the dash on the inside later on thanks everyone for any an all help thank you

Look at the plug next to the transfer case and there will be a ground wire from the plug to the case screw.. sometimes the wire breaks off or gets loose.. will be easier to remove heat shield from transfer case to gain access to the wires..
