02 Explorer Factory Trailer Brake Connection

I have an 02 Explorer with the class III/IV hitch and I'm getting ready to tow a small horse trailer. I looked for the factory plug underneath the dash for the trailer brake controller, and all I find is the diagnostic port and another green plug. I can't find the 6-way grey connector that is mentioned in the instructions. Anyone else have this happen? Thanks for the help.

Took it to a dealer, and it turns out the factory connector is behind the glove box.
