4.0 V6 02 Explorer XLT has a code that says the EGR Valve is bad, but I replaced it with a brand new one. I even had my mechanic check everything and clean out the hoses. air intake, etc, but it still fails. This has been going on now for over 2 years, so every month I am forced to go to VEIP just to keep my tags from being suspended. Here in Maryland, you must spend $450 total in order to be given a pass, so that you're not required to do this every month, but the total work has come nowhere close to $450.

Thanks. After the tune up, I forgot about resetting the codes, so they're gone now. I'm sure the EGR one will be back though, so now I'll get that sensor replaced. Is that an easy fix?
