02 Ford Explorer will not run.

Yesterday I was driving home wen suddenly my explorer just lost power and quit. I checked for vacume leaks Icould not find any. When I start it it will go to 1K RPM then it shutters and quits. If I give it some gas It will hit 2=3k rm but it seems like I have to give it more gas than usual to get there. In the end it just shudders and quits.
I can't find my hays manual and I am watching the kids while the wifs at work so if any one has an idea I will send my 6 year old out to try it. Many thanks.

I disconnected the IAC today and now I can keep it running as long as I keep reving the engine. I am gona get a new IAC tonight and see how it works. Keeping the fingers crossed. I will let every one know how it works out.
