First off, thanks for having this forum. When I had a Chevy Blazer, I was in a similar forum, and it was VERY helpful.

My problem has me and my dealer stumped. The dealer is paying to fix the Check Engine Light that I have on, and the computer codes show it is the O2 sensor, Bank 2.
Replaced it. Drove 8 miles, it came back on. Back to dealer. Checked connections, reset it, drove off. 10 miles. Light back on.
Back to dealer. Replaced a 2nd O2 Sensor, thinking that maybe a fault in that one was making the other send a false signal. Drove off, again, about 8-10 miles, light comes back on. Back to dealer, same code coming up.
A Ford expert said that it may be the Intake Manifold gasket, so my dealer took it in again, replaced not only the gasket, but the Upper Intake Manifold. I made it about 15 miles, and again, the Check Engine Light came on.

My dealer has been most helpful in trying to solve this problem, and at his OWN cost. So any leads as to what may be causing this would be greatly appreciated.

Again, the error is for the O2 sensor, running lean, and it's been tested, and replaced. The intake manifold (the big black thing in the photos in this post here: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1555157) and the gasket, were replaced.

This vehicle has 104k on it, but runs top, no real complaints, other then this particular one. Any tips would be IMMENSELY appreciated!!
The only other issues I have with it are 1) the fog lights don't come on, but the light switch inside says they are on, will look at this when the ground isn't frozen, lol, (I will check the wiring when the weather is warmer so I can crawl underneath), and 2) my backup sensor is whack. When in drive, the backup switch (left of the steering wheel) is on (the OFF light is off), as soon as I put it in reverse, the OFF light comes on. I DO think the vehicle was rear ended, or backed into something, so am assuming this is the reason, and will also wait for warming weather before pulling out the tools to dig around on my own. Once in a great while, if I don't have the radio too loud,, I sometimes hear a beep from the back somewhere even, lol, but not related to something actually behind the vehicle.

Is this a Ford dealer? What EXACTLY is that code, the number not description?

Oh, and tell "Wally & the Beav" we said Hi!

Not a Ford Dealer, but the #2 here is an Ex-Ford employee with some decent background.

Errors:

P0155 O2 Sensor heater circuit malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
P1151 Lack of HO2S1 Switches - Lean (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

As I mentioned above, the Bank 2 Sensor 1 O2 Sensor was replaced, as was another one, AND the Intake Manifold gasket and Manifold were replaced already. New gas cap also, just in case.

Thanks for any tips or info!

Sorry ya haven't gotten an answer yet Eddie.

DTC's differ slightly from year to year and I don't see here a description of your vehicle. Go to your profile and correct the "

Country

which is getting put in that space by some odd coincidence and I'll try and help you from here on. We have to know what we're dealing with here.

I would say it has a broken wire for o2 sensor or pcm is bad. If the wiring from pcm is good it would need pcm. We see this code on pretty much all of ford vehicles and usually is burned out heater in o2 sensor but can be wiring or pcm.

still anyone?

Eddie, hang in there. The traffic on ths site may not be heavy, but it is well-informed.

Eventually someone will come along with your answer. If I had it, I would, but I do not, sorry.

Since it runs okay, I would just keep on keeping on in parallel with fixing it, not terribly likely to be hurting it from the symptoms you describe.

Just keep an eye on your other indications so that the absence of an available CEL, since it's masked, does not result in a worse repair due to unobserved problems (overheating comes to mind as one example).

I had the same problem with mine it ended up being a broken wire in the pcm harness causing the code.

ok, will talk to dealer, check the pcm wiring harness, or bad pcm, that's a start. Thanks much, will post how it goes. :)
