Well its spring time again, and it's time for me to pay a little closer attention to my truck. Here are the current issues I have questions about:

Front end shake: In tight corners at very slow speeds I get a front end shake in my X. This happened in my '00 XLT I had, but I sold it recently after that. What causes this/how do I fix it?

Shocks & Struts: I'm getting a pretty nasty bump steer, and the ride is very rough. I know its a short wheelbase, but it seems worse than other 2 door X's I've riden in. Is there an easy way to "test" the shocks and struts to see if they need to be replaced?

Rear end sag: I'm trying to find some 4 door X leaf springs to add, or I may just cheap out and use some Autozone shackles on it. However, the driver side rear end seems to sit lower than the passenger side, could this be a shock/strut issue as well?

I just rolled over 60K on it, what things should I be inspecting at about this time? I bought it with like 50k on it and have used only 100% Amsoil Synthetic oil and thats about all the work I've done on it. Recommendations would be great, thanks.

53 people have no clue about any of my questions?

Man, I remember when you could get 5 replies in a half hour on this board. Are those days gone?

scratch my back ill scratch yours.

Front end shake: Shocks & Struts: Get your front end "bouncing" by pushing on the front end. then stop and it should settle out after about 1.5 - 2 cycles. Also with the shake check out the alignment and possibly brakes??

Rear end sag: No its in the springs. theres always someone in the drivers side so it gets "used" more. X's are imfamous for that so are most sprung vehicles
I put shackles on mine and love the new stance. I have a install thread in this section

Now my turn. could you go and measure your front wheel base and your rear wheel base and tell me your results. I recently purchased new wheels and noticed that my front wheels stick out more than the rears. Whats the difference on yours? thanks

You might get better feedback if you put it in the 95-01 forum as that forum is for the platform your truck has.
