03 EB Explorer 4x4 not all wheels turning?

Good day. Last night while stuck in the snow I put my EB in 4x4 low. I noticed the front wheels and the rear drivers side wheel turning but the rear passanger did not. Can anyone explain this?

Yes, open differentials.

Most all stock "4x4's" have.

You have to get a locker.

Sometimes you can fool it by applying the brake then it will put power to the wheel thinking it needs it, I know this works on some older 4x4's, do not know if this works in explorers.
