I have a 2003 Exp. XLT with dual climate control and recently I noticed a faint clicking sound coming from back by third row seat. When I turn on a/c back there then it starts clicking loud. its not really a fast click though it's more like click.......click......click.......click. I was hoping someone might know if its that blower motor that is back there or something else. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. cbbubby

Its a blend door actuator. There is 2 of them, 1 for temp and 1 to direct air flow. i had a bad 1 for about three years and decided to replace it finally on a really hot day. After I got the right part at parts store, it took me about 20 minutes. I don't know why I waited sooo long. I would say it's best to take the part off and take it with you to get the right one. I think there were a couple different ones. I remember why I waited so long, I thought I was going to have to take off heater and A/C hoses. Just remove side plastic panel and 4 or 5 screws that hold on the whole assembly, you can then pry out just enough to get to actuators. Don't pry too much, might break something. I'll try to post link to article I used.

Hope this helps

thanks for the info, sounds like it shouldn't be to difficult to replace.
