03 Expl EB Rear defrost button won't go off

On my 03 EB the rear defrost button won't seem to go off. It comes on on ignition and when I press it to shut it off the light just comes back on. It won't shut off? Not sure if it is related but my battery went dead and replaced with a new one and then noticed this? Any suggestions? I am going to check the fuses, but if fuse was the issue would it not turn on?

There could be a short keeping the rear defrost on. Have you checked the wiring going to the switch? Let me know if you need assistance getting to the wiring. Could also be a faulty switch or relay.

I will check my shop manuals and post up any info I can find later this evening.
