My 03 Explorer has been stalling at stops and can't maintain an idle after reaching operating temp. It also runs a low rpms especially at highway speeds of 55-65mph rpms never much above 200-2200rpms. I changed out the throttle position sensor and removed the IAC valve and cleaned it and reconnected. I have also checked the fuel pressure and it read at 75 psi. I did a system charging test and everything was normal except battery is getting weak but have never had any charging issues. tried to get a diagnostic check but no codes came up. I am searching for answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a problem where the coil connector to the spark plug "Backed" away and was not making a good connection. The Idle went low and the engine would stall but if I kept the foot on the pedal, I was able to drive it home and check it. I didn't have any engine light come on or anything indicating there was a problem. Check all the coil connections and there may be one that the clip broke off as i found mine was. Hope this helps.

bad sensor if it only happens when in closed loop. monitor the sensors in real time.
