My truck is in need of some service but I come here for the help to tell the smart handy guys what to do. Im particular with my vehicles and need some help getting my truck to where it should be. I've driven dozens of Explorers and have gotten around 6 friends to get one- and one occasion 2 (his wife got a mountaineer).
When starting other x's I notice that there is a slight rev durring initial turn over like your pressing the gas pedal slightly, my truck doesn't do that most of the time. Sometimes it will, mostly no. The actual noise that my truck makes is not like others either. I always pick out weird vehicles- my Grand Am GT was that way too. Back to topic: I also notice a slight hesitation durring slower acceleration from a stop- hot or cold.
Now for the side notes, my truck has 132K on it, i haven't replaced anything really other than battery and alternator. Yes orig wires and plugs to the smartys that have already come up with that. think it'll help? fuel filter? Not a big problem but just something i can fix with the uncle sam check in a couple of weeks. Getting around 13-15 mpg. and im not too friendly of a driver
