I've had an 03 x/xls since it was new. I have 140k on it. For the last 6 months or so the electric lock on the drivers door has been acting up. It takes 2 or 3 tries with the fob to get it to lock or unlock. All the other doors work fine. I've had the door panel off a couple of times and have lubricated everything possible. It seems to me that the lock motor is wearing out or some of the mechanisms in the door itself are just corroded past lubrication. Is it difficult to replace the door lock motor? It looks like it it could be difficult. Should I just continue to manually lock it from the inside and use the key to unlock it from the outside? Something tells me I'm just going to have to live with it. Thanks.
