Here is a complete knuckle assembly for a 2004 Aviator: Amazon product ASIN B07DX9YNP4Amazon says it fits my Explorer also so they must be the same. That may be a good idea to buy the entire knuckle assembly. The entire knuckle assembly is much more expensive but might be well worth it compared to the battles I've heard from people dealing with that rear bearing/hub assembly.

Yeah even with a press they are supposed to be a ***** to get out. When mine go the entire knuckle will get replaced.

Personally, I wouldn't go with a Dorman part unless I asolutely had to. They don't have a good reputation and many of their parts fail way to early.

Welcome.

In 2016 when I bought my Explorer the right rear wheel bearing went out. I saw online they can be a problem so I took it to a mechanic. When I went to pick it up the mechanics were telling me what a pain in the butt it was trying to press that bearing out. Their press wouldn't push it out so they took it to another shop with a more powerful press which also failed to push the bearing out. They bought the hub assembly in the end.

Then earlier this year I was talking to a mechanic about transmissions and out of curiosity I asked what they would charge to replace a rear wheel bearing. I paid $442.00 in 2016. He told me that he didn't think the owner would even do another bearing replacement on a 3rd gen Explorer after what they went through with the last one. I thought that was a pretty strong statement. If I need another rear wheel bearing I will buy the entire knuckle assembly too.

Do yourself a favour and buy any of the much more reliable brands instead of Dorman
