Hello all,

I just recently within the last month, purchased a '04 EX XLS 4x4 and in the past two weeks, I've noticed that my right turn signal blinks extremely fast (when compared to normal). I check the back of the truck when the light was blinking fast and noticed that during this occurance the turnal signal was not working.

This happens off and on. Some days, it works, so days it doesn't. I'm just looking for confirmation that the problem could be a bad turn signal switch.

This is my first Ford of any kind. Should I expect something like this to become a problem so soon? Geez.

Thanks for your help.

You might have a bad switch or relay. Either way it's kinda strange on a new vehicle. I think you were just lucky though. Have the dealer fix it under warranty and you should be good to go.

usually the signal blinks faster when a bulb has burned out,

or a connection isn't being made, but since its a 2004 let the dealer worry about it

I totally agree. It just sucks because I wouldn't expect even a bulb to burn out being that its so new. Now I have to waste my saturday morning sitting and waiting at the dealer.
